The AFTCO Flying Gaff Hook is designed for demanding big-game fishing applications where strength, penetration and reliability are essential. Made from corrosion-resistant stainless steel, the 8-inch hook is engineered to withstand heavy loads without straightening during use.

Its triangular point provides fast, effective penetration and can be sharpened easily when required. The hook features a fully gusseted and welded bend for added structural support, along with a swaged shaft that promotes uniform strength throughout the hook.

The breakaway design allows the hook to separate from a compatible AFTCO flying gaff shaft once the fish has been secured, giving the crew greater control during landing. All AFTCO flying gaff hook sizes are designed to fit the same compatible shaft system.
