The MAXEL Hybrid HY20CL is a compact, lightweight and powerful star drag conventional reel designed for jigging, bottom fishing, casting and light trolling. Its low-profile construction sits comfortably in the hand while delivering the drag strength and retrieval power normally associated with larger offshore reels.

A precisely adjustable carbon star drag provides up to 13 kg of maximum drag, helping anglers maintain smooth and controlled pressure when fighting larger fish. The 6.0:1 gear ratio and 93 cm retrieve per turn support fast, efficient line recovery.

Heat-treated stainless steel gears provide dependable cranking strength, while seven shielded stainless steel ball bearings and a clutch-bearing anti-reverse system support smooth casting and retrieval. The positive thumb-bar free-spool system automatically re-engages with less than a quarter turn of the handle, making lure and rig presentation quick and convenient.

The rigid one-piece tempered aluminium frame, cold-forged aluminium spool and recessed stainless steel reel seat provide strength, durability and balanced rod positioning for demanding saltwater applications.
